Sunday ride from Hazel Grove to Heaton Chapel in Stockport. Fairly uneventful ride, however please feel free to comment on my riding style. Feedback on improving my traffic skills welcomed.

  • Forgot to say almost a left hook at 9:57

  • @1MacTavish2 Yes its very scary in rush hour, particularly going through Longsight/Levenshulme.

  • Those roadworks in Hazel Grove are a nightmare during the week, you are braver than me I wouldn't dare cycle down the A6.

  • @kievcyclist Thankyou :)

  • @CycleMan2200 Hi fella. On this road I had the benefit of a lot of it being two lanes, not one. I was doing around 20mph a lot of the way and a lot of my journey was in bus lanes. It's a lot more tricky on single lane busy roads! I'll post a vid up soon on a journey into the centre of manchester on the A6. Very difficult road for a cyclist!

  • Good riding skills on the road! And that's a great idea, I should upload such a video myself and ask for feedback.

  • It's nice to see you and may other cyclist's taking the lane when its far too narrow to share. I do this alot, even on roads than seem wide enough to share. Only roads that are over 13 feet will I share with an automobile. Your safety is priority, people's impatient's dead last. Be safe!
