Lesson 03: Suspension notes
as shown by my teacher U Phone Myint

The suspension notes are of high importance for the typical melodic phrases in the traditional Saung music. Regarding the used tuning or modal scales this results in some interesting intervalls, which sometimes are hard to hear for Western ears and might sound a bit out of tune due to the quarter steps in the old traditional scales. In this example the easy C Major scale is used.
