Being nominated and winning an awards is never about the music anymore; it's about events.
1) Taylor Swift is getting pity from the award shows because of Kanye West not being born with the ability to shut his fucking mouth.
2) MJ's death was one of the most tragic things that could happen to the music industry so he gets recognition. (RIP MJ)
If you ask me what makes a musician great, it's not the awards but the devoted fans of the musician, their album sales, & their influence on the world.
