I'm really surprised that they didn't think of a spoken-word record being a hit record. I remember that Shirley Temple, when she was ambassador at the U.N., did a popular record of children's stories. I can't believe it threw them.
My only memories of him are as the brilliant host of CBS Radio Mystery Theater and Creep Show, however, that was a dumb skit. So, he will always be known for presenting those spooky mysteries. It says he had a part in Psycho, does anyone remember what part he played?
Ha .. I can recall when Mr. Marshall had a harder time than this back when he was president of the U S and got into it with General Zod... (Superman II )
Mr. Marshall was the voice of the popular CBS Radio Mystery Theater for 7 years, in which Arlene appeared (her episode was a murder mystery called "I Thought You Were Dead," aired 8/5/74). Marshall would also later appear such in films as "Tora, Tora, Tora" and "Nixon," and TV shows such as "Chicago Hope," with Mandy Patinkin, another alum of CRMT (his episode was "Lost Dog," aired 1/9/74).

@TheFrogger15 Jose Ferrer played the defense attorney, not the prosecutor. E.G. Marshall was the prosecutor.

E.G. Marshall's role as the prosecutor in "The Cain Mutiny" probably set his course to play in the TV show "The Defenders" which he won two Emmys.
