Happy new year and thanks for your comment. Yes, the actual catenary of Märklin can be energized and in my layout is working. You can do it by means of a wire that it connects the catenary in several points between a bus for catenary and the wires throung some masts. As the masts are made in metal, you can put the wire into de mast 74101 and connects the bus and the catenary wires without any problem. The train of green bi-level passenger cars was stopped and maybe you think it was pushed by a locomotive when really, the last car is a cab control car # 42571 (one level car). Thank you
