AC DC - Highway To Hell Cover

Not a video demonstrating my skill - just showing the tone. Yeah i look like shit too as it was early morning, im in my room which has been stripped for redecoration. I will be posting some Hendrix covers soon which will more than likely be Purple Haze, Little Wing, Highway Chile and Bold As Love. Those will be a better demonstration of my ability (which isn't that great, anyway).

Anyway... here's something that resembles a cover of Highway To Hell by AC DC. It's not 100% correct and probably full of mistakes. I didn't use a tab, so didn't play the correct solo (except a few notes) - wasn't even a propper solo improvisation...i just messed around for it.

Mainly did this video for a friend who wanted me to try get him Angus Young's tone from software modelling.

too much reverb mate and u need a much PHATER!!! sound, or buy a Gibson SG an achieve such sound, an work on the solo, a lot!! otherwise it werent to bad!

Yeah - nothing does AC/DC like a Gibson SG! :)

If i cover it again i'll learn the solo, i just generally messed about for the solo on this :P - more showing it for the tone. I didn't realise there was so much reverb at the time haha.

Hey, it's a Fender Vintage Hot Rod '52 Telecaster. Everything is completely stock.

It's got a Custom Vintage Single Coil Tele pickup in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Vintage Mini Humbucker in the neck.

@magiarock 'Magiarock = shit head' I'm sure you know by now.......way to much reverb. I listened to some of your leads on your other site which leads be to conclude with this.You must be a Eric Johnson fan, me to, huge difference from Mr Young. Also try practicing your scales with a metronome as this will help you stay in the song, and when playing ac/dc use the right guitar, that will work wonders. See ya mate. Keep your fingers on the strings and your pecker in the hole. Watch 4 shitheads
