Tiffany - Get Well Soon ♥

Bad news guys :( Tiffany and Blackie have fallen seriously ill.

It started of Monday morning, Tiff wouldnt get out of her stable. So mum pushed her out and she was walking all wobbly like she was drunk? She raised one leg and didnt know where to put it, and nearly fell over, shes not been eating and her breathing is funny, shes not herself either, she didnt even bother having ago at Ruby when Ruby was biting her over the fence. Shes also been lying down a lot today, and just leaning against the wall with her head low, she walked into the wall at one point, so we rung the vet and he just said keep an eye on her, ring me back if anything worse happens, but shes not been rolling or sweating so no colic

I've been checking on her all day looking out the window and at night Ive gone up every half an hour, but on my 4th night check tiff was fine eating again but I found Blackie lying down, heaving really fast, her sides were sweating an her breathing was awful, she kept wheezing, she was in such a state and she began to roll and nearly got her legs caught on the wall, but we managed to stop her, she looked so distressed and in pain, and she just looked at us like Please will you help me and when we stayed with her she looks so grateful, so we called the vet, he said just wait with her and call me back in 30mins, and she calmed down a lot, eventually she got up! And we were relieved but she was still breathing dodgy but no where near as bad, and shed stopped sweating, and Carl (vet) thinks its the wormer, because we wormed them both on Sunday with the same wormer (half each) So he thinks its a dodgy wormer. But we may never know.

The strange thing is which Ive only just realised, this started on the 14th (Yesterday) Larkin died on the 14th in the night in a distressed way (suspected heart attack), all night Blackie and Tiff have been distressed, it's such a huge coincidence


I made this video before Blackie went ill, for Tiff, otherwise Blackie would have been in it.

I dont want to loose another 2 horses :( Its been exactly 2months since we lost Larkin and Patrika. But when i left them after all this drama they were standing up eating a little and Blackie had stopped sweating so we think the worst is over.

Tiffany is 20 && Blackie is 14

This is a reason I dislike and fear Christmas, such bad things happen near the time every year, and yes you can say oh its only a coincidence but yeah if it is that still doesnt change the fact bad things happen at Christmas!

@swiftpaint2000 well they both recovered, but then last may tiffany was put to sleep, but because of a different reason xx :(

@CushagRubyRox oh i understand. i wont ask u why. cuz it might hurt u. i amvery sorry. i know how it feels. my arabian and tenesse walker had to be put down cuz of a desease other horses carried around and we didnt know.

@swiftpaint2000 no its fine, in december 2009, her and blackie fell ill to colic from a wormer, and they both recovered, but then in may 2010 tiffany's laraynx collapsed, and she couldnt breath and had to have a tracheostomy, but her blood test results came back and she had liver disease, and nothing could be done, and wehad to put her down because she'd stopped eating and drinking :(

aww thats horrible :( i dont think we get those kind of diseases over here because its not hot enough

yeah you could be right, but they wer out together all day after being wormed and tiff was bad and blackie was fine, and weve been told of this happening to other peoples horses after theyve been wormed! so i dunno? but weve changed their wormer now and give the a lower dose xxx
