Yet another young driver bound for a career-best finish finds trouble in the Coca-Cola 600, this time rookie and outside pole-sitter Joe Nemechek. After 8 starts and no top-15 finishes thus far with Hedrick, Joe had been running with the leaders up until lap 262, when he blew a tire and slammed into the outside wall coming off turn 4.

  • What a shame he had a great run going :(

  • Hoosier was in NASCAR for that one year, 1994, but it's a small company based in Indiana and couldn't compete with Goodyear so they pulled out after a year.

  • How did Ken Squier get so good at math?

  • I do not remember that. Interesting though

  • Yes, but do you remember the Pocono race where Geoff Bodine was dominating on Hoosiers and Earnhardt, as a last ditch effort, came down pit road and had about 6 rounds of wedge put into (or out of) both sides of his car? I think im the only one who remembers. It was shown clearly on TV. To this day Ive never seen anything like it, and he didn't lose any positions. But Geoff won the race anyway. Do you remember that? Thats why his legacy is what it is.

  • y do they have hoosier tires
