I drive and walk there without police escort, it's safe.
-
why were you escorted by Police...I cycled there on my own and have been driven there countless time without ever experience any problems at all.

ur an idiot my good sir

You might be bitching about this 'apartheid-township' but at least it came with pre-paved roads, reticulated sewerage- and water facilities and electricity laid on - during apartheid, and this township was a vast improvement over the filthy squatter camp which was Crossroads. The only reason it's such a mess now, is because the country's 5-million taxpayers aren't enough to support the more than 22-million people who pay no taxes at all. Work this problem out for yourself.

I saw Khayelitsha growing since it was a satelite "Township" in 1986.Then I worked for solicitors for four years who where servicing Motor Vehicle Accident victims in the greater Khayelitsha specifically in the shanty dwellings as is shown on this video.I have traversed each road shown here many a times. This is emotional and intimate to me.NB: Bill "Bells Mangena"Lubelwana, puppet mayor of Gugulethu coined the name Khayelitsha in 1985 As a settlement for the people of Crossroads.

Fantastic video! I was there last year and it showed me that I take so much for granted here at home.
A humbling experience indeed, visiting Khayelitsha, Langa and the other communities.

Hi we have interviews with the group we are working with, but I felt they were too personal to publish, . It was so special for us to be part of the community even for such a short time, but we are still in touch with them. The school we work with is in Site B, it is Matthew Goniwe Memorial High. We would ove to go back but we can help so much more by sending help e. I'm so glad you like the video, it was a real journey for us and we really made a strong connection, thanks Kim

Oh Ok, thats nice I was a teacher there too in Kuyasa the school name is Esangweni High School. When did your partnership with Matthew Goniwe started? What made you pick the school?
thuli1977 4 years ago
Hi, we started our partnership with the school around a year ago, we had heard of a local primary school that some friends had worked with Ntashaslobo, and the kids from there went onto MGMH, it was really that simple. I contacted the head teacher there and talked about her learners and how we could help. We got along well straight off and that was that.
