Official Danish surveys suggested that roughly 4-6% of ethnic Danes in Denmark are illiterate after exiting public school (age 15-16). The percentage of illiterate ethnic Middle Easterners in Denmark after exiting public school is +60%. Say I'm wearing a tinfoil hat as much as you want, but I think I know why there are so many illiterates in Germany...

Most of those 7.5 are probably immigrants. Real Germans are most likely the minority in this statistic

Dear RT, try to read this German proverb:

"Wer im Glashaus sitzt, sollte nicht mit Steinen werfen"

English: "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"

PS: What about the illiteracy rate in Russia?

One learn to read by reading. To write, by writing. Preferably, a lot, in both cases. Audio & video dominance of today aren't conducive to that kind of? practice. It won't improve, except for those individuals who really fall in love with long pieces of good written material that will be appealing to them, captivate their mind. They will learn fast. All the rest is audiovideorature ..
