The difference in time between the driver, who left immediately and sped at up to 20mph over the speed limit all the way to DC (Which he shouldn't have done), and the guy who took the Northeast Regional was only 7 minutes. If the driver drove at the speed limit and the train rider actually got an Acela Express ticket, the train would have easily won.
