I recently made a purchase of a new microphone. The MXL USB 009. It is a condenser microphone that is plug and play via the usb connector. This thing can record 24bit/96khz professional broadcast quality! Has a headphone jack built in for zero latency monitoring. It's a high quality microphone, and the best one I've ever owned to date!
*********
I also picked up a couple other items that are not included with the microphone. Like the shock mount, the headphones, and the pop filter.

I will have a full review up soon!

Thanks for watching!

  • What's the best adjustment for the gain nob? Cuz I've noticed each slight turn effects the quality by a lot.

  • @DarkChildMuzik That's difficult to answer, as there are no indicator marks. I suggest testing different settings to see what works best with your voice. Not much help I know, but as I said, there are no indicator marks, sorry.

  • hey there!! can you monitor ur voice in realt time without latency using that mic???

  • @yashmhedecho21 Yes, this mic has zero latency monitoring. Not to mention it can record 24bit/96khz professional broadcast quality.

  • i bought one plugged it in red light went on but it didnt recored. do u know wht i did wrong?

  • @aratheartist Did you get the 009? I read that the 006 has a red light behind

it's grill, the 009 has a blue light. Anyway, check your settings in your computer, depending on your OS. For Windows, go to: control panel > hardware and sound > sound > then click the recording tab. Make sure the one that says microphone is active, and it should say the name of your mic as well.

    Hope that helps.

  • holy shit i just looked up and that mic is 600$

  • put in a give away and let me win you pay all the tax and fees

  • @mattpozdol I ended up going with the Samson SP01 from Amazon. It's reasonably less expensive than the Marshall shock mounts and works just as well. Good luck with your new mic!
