you wouldnt say that if you realized that clipping them means he can go outside.
Its a good trade since otherwise we couldnt bring ours to the park to play. we throw him up inthe air so he gets height and can work his musckes...trust me, I think hed rather go out than be house bound. I am sure hed love to fly too but hes happy and loved and get the sun in his face and the attention of kids.
clipped wings mean more freedom as a pet than some would expect,

My African grey wanders all over the house too, he get into mischief sometimes.. But really enjoys himself.

so beautiful. I saw a tv program and the lady's parrot slept in her bed with her. Just snuggled right up. I don't think most people realize just how intelligent, social, and affectionate they truly are.

Nice looking parrot your MJ, i love to see parrots have freedom, mine live almost free, he dont like to be locked in cage.

I'm not really sure. My grandma bought MJ in 1998 - from a pet store - and I don't really remember. I think it was close to $1000. His cage was either $550 or $600. Hope this helps.
