Donovan wrote this melodious song in the late sixities when he was studdying deep Transcendental Meditation in Rishikesh (India) with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The Beatles and other celebrities were also present there. Wikipedia narates this special time under "The Beatles at Rishikesh" or "Séjour des Beatles en Inde"...
