WOW holy horse crap,LOL I know for a fact that if you were to block a knife attack that way a real attacker would cut the shit out of your arm and your nerves on your arm are exposed to the blade. So what happens is you lose motor function in your hand. Thats why you keep your palms facing you when someone is attacking you with a knife. And cover your heart and neck.

@Jem93rocks One thing that would be making it hard for the attacker to attack is. He is thinking knife, knife, knife, isn't it shiny. I am so powerful because of this knife. Also pushing the attacker back makes a hay maker difficult. Plus a few quick combatives "knees and kicks". Those take the fight out of you. Plus if you draw back with the fist. The defender simply twists the wrist and breaks your posture.
