I don't see a line between tools used to keep a body functional and tools used to enhance it. It's naive to think the human body is too complex- it's just another system that we'll eventually figure out. Also the human body is not perfect- evolution hasn't suddenly stopped and so there are plenty of aspects we can improve upon to speed up the process.
