oh come on this cover is not bettera than U2's version, its not a matter of voices qualitys cus both are fucking great, Bono on this song sounds incredible with the scream on the chorus and then the great solo of the edge with a guitar using delay, distortion besides the acoustic on the begining of the song
this cover is fucking cool but if you say that this is better than the original is just because you dont like U2 wich its ok but sounds biased

Well that's nonsense isn't it. Because we prefer this to U2 is no disrespect to them. But Anneke's voice is so fantastic on this - so full of yearning & pathos. And so simple and crystal clear with her driving guitar and the change of beat at 1.38. This version would be ridiculous with a huge distorted guitar lead. Its a matter of taste. And of course some will prefer the original. But some folk cant handle it when an artist exceeds the original`'cause of loyalty. But that''s what`Annelke does.
