Like the last NES review, I've had this sitting on my computer at about 70% completion for the past six months or so. I finally felt like finishing it. And yes I realize that no one cares about this review.

  • of course its unpolioshed, its the first

  • Indeed, I didn't say it to be shocking but it deserves to be pointed out in a review.

  • Just wondering, have you played the PSP remake?

  • Yup, I own it.

  • Good review and all, but what's with the reviews of the SNES games all of a sudden?

  • I played through a few a long while ago but never got around to finishing them off.

  • I wonder why Dr. Light didn't make any sexy love robots for himself. Instead he made Mega Man and Roll. Where's his priorities man!?

  • you should review more sidescrollers

  • @gqunit69 I disagree with you. Reviews should be comparative to WHEN they are reviewed. I like that he compared it to future games and, in the MM4 review, he mentioned that the game STILL is fun for 2011.

It isn't 1988 anymore, so it's better to be realistic than live in the past.

  • u cant compare it to other mm games this was the 1st one u gotta review it like its 1988 and u never ever heard of megaman this game was friggin epic back then

  • This was my first megaman game i played back in 1990, and having just recently finished all 1 - 6 megaman games on the NES i still think this was the best one, all though i do like some of the inovations of the newer games, good review.

  • the first one sucked i thought of it as a tec demo then the rest were amazing

  • Seriously? Dr. Light named his "children" Rock and Roll?

  • One thing I hated about this game is that if you got hit and landed on spikes, you still die. lol

  • why do you think he made Roll?

Yes, Dr. Light likes em young.

  • Yeah, Mega Man had some kinks. It was incredibly hard, more so than most NES games, even harder than the rest of the Mega Man series itself. On top of that it's the only Mega Man game to keep score. Kind of weird to see. All in all, it's still very good but it wasn't until #2 that they really found what kind of game they wanted Mega Man to be. Good review.
