  • It isn't remarkably quieter than average modern guitars, but the strings are lighter so you can't play it so hard. Much depends on the hall, I guess, the sound may project well in some places.

  • The guitar is made by Gary Southwell.

  • The Scherzer (guitar)! do you recommend it?

(it's hard to tell on video) Looks fantastic!

Which other guitars do you play? recommend?

  • This is La Cote style guitar, made in 1989. The Scherzer replica is gorgeous, and what I have heard it's very good, too. Besides this guitar, I have a Bernabe and Liikanen guitars.

  • beautiful.... very beautiful sound too, any one know who made that guitar?

  • Thanks for the comments! The guitar is Lacote style guitar, built by Gary Southwell in -89

  • hi, very pretty guitar, i now it's a romantic guitar, but you sound almost like if yoy where playing a modern one, maybe it's the technique?

  • Beautiful piece. Great interpretation

  • Super travail!!

    Bravo

  • Very nice! Does the guitar support you are using work well with the thinner body? I have a 19th cent guitar that is only about 2 3/4 inches wide and was told that the murata guitar support won't clamp down more than 3 1/2 inches.

  • Beautiful playing

  • Hei ! Kiitos !

    -Jani

  • Super!

  • Question for you: How loud would you say that guitar is? It's hard to really get a feel for that on a recording. Is the difference between it an, say your Bernabe a stark one? Could that guitar pull off a recital in a large concert hall? Guess I'm curious to see if Southwell made modern adjustments to Lacote's techniquies that increased the volume.

  • Congradulations for your interpretation, best regards, a favourite of course, Yorgos
