@piotbur well the Polish did have the BEST cavalery
-
Cavalery was ony moving on horses. They fought on foot.
-
@devilhunterred There was no charge at tanks. The charge was made on foot second battalion zmot / 76 motorized regiment / 20 Infanterie-Division - only infantry. Germans counterattack madearmored cars, the Polish Army - withdrew. Charge against tanks - myth, and German propaganda.
-
that is why they invented Tanks...

@Tm123P Not a myth.
On September 1, the same day of the Battle of Krojanty, the German 4th Panzer Division clashed with the Polish Wołyńska Cavalry Brigade at the village of Mokra, about 126 miles southwest of Warsaw.
The Polish cavalry flanked the tanks and demobilized a number of them with explosives, but of course at the end they lost.
It was a German propaganda... They wanted to show their military advance over Poland.
Shame, that this bulls*it was shown in movie of so called "Oscar Winner"...
Even H.Guderian in his book wrote, that his soldiers were scared of polish cavalery...

Polish cavalry - never charged against tanks. Polish Cav Brigade have 18 AT guns and 60 AT Rifles! In early period IIWW - really power agains weak PzKw I and PzKw II. Charge against tank - myth.
