No one is exempt from the work. Both Vladikas are cancer patients, and both are over 70, but the potholes still need to be filled.

  • May your visitors help with everything! I pray God will send you some!

  • God bless the work.

  • @allsaintsmonastery Understandably they couldn't help but admire your natural drive.

Thanks, I was being somewhat playful in my response ;-) though you probably discerned that.

I have enjoyed your Youtube submissions. I'm not really a Christian, but if I was I would choose Eastern Orthodoxy. I'm familiar with things like the Jesus Prayer, Mount Athos, Theosis and the like. These are all wonderful things. I feel some commonality with you in that I was a monk myself (albeit just a novice for a few years) in a different kind of order.

  • I’m so sad to read that you have health problems. I’ll keep you and Vladika Varlaam in my prayers.

  • You must get alot of rain. Is the area kind of like Seattle WA constant rain?

  • A monastery drive that I worked on often was a challenge like the one at All Saints. Rock dust seemed to form sufficient hardening and durability to make the 2 mile-long driveway easier to manage. I priced a couple Vancouver area suppliers on-line this morning for rock dust prices, which range from $24.00 to 30.00/1000kg. It would take 5.7 m3 to cover every 30.5 m. [3 m. wide] with 5 cm deep. I will write more via email later today.
