A 1988 Ford Bronco frame is 1/4" thick, the same as an F-350 1 ton truck and twice as thick as a Landcruiser frame. Don't get me wrong, a Landcruiser is very stout, but the stock frame and suspension were not up to the task of how hard I use this rig and how much strain a Cummins pulling a 15K trailer would put on it.

I dont have any underhood pics. to post yet, I'll have to get some up soon. As far as I know a Cummins 6 or 4BT will not fit in a stock FJ80 without at least a 4" suspension lift to get clearance between the front axle housing and oil pan.

What kind of MPG do you get? Hows it geared?

@megahurts2
I get 21-22mpg if I keep it at 55-60mph. My axle gear ratio is 3.55, C-6 transmission is 1.1, no overdrive, running 38" tall Michelin XMLs.
