I have just finished reading "Shantaram", an outstanding product of sensitivity and art, and Gregory David Roberts is finally the person who embraced the universe!

@shelzbelz84 Same I'm really trying to push it too te very last end... 60 more pages:( I want another part :D

I disagree with his opinion on Madonna. I think she seems full of herself, which leads me to believe that she is out of touch with reality. She doesn't appear to be as humble and kind as he says, but I have never met her. The book was great. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to everyone. I to did not want it to end. I'm surprised that there will be a part two.

When people read a large book, if it isn't good they sometimes pretend that it is good. They need to justify spending that amount of time on a large book; the psychological term for this called 'cognitive dissonance'. There is absolutely no need for that though when you read "Shantaram", it is one of the best books I've ever read. It is so engaging on many different levels; a very rich work. Every bit of time you invest in it is worth it.
