GARY LUCAS: Live on Czech TV "TV Nova" 10/11/96
"The world's most popular avant-rock guitarist" (The Independent),
GARY LUCAS, is seen here in a success du scandale on national Czech
tv's most popular morning show "Breakfast with Nova" in fall '96,
improvising on his 1928 National steel guitar with producer Richard
"Faust" Mader on second guitar and Czech avant-garde vocalist Mirka
Krivankova. This 8am in the morning provocation which shocked a
nation was part of the promotion for "The Ghosts of Prague" album
(now available on iTunes), which Gary had recorded that summer with
Czech underground band Urfaust. Here they perform a version of the
album's final track, "Fire on Petrin".
