If your snowblower paddle stops spinning, it's most likely because of a worn or broken drive belt. In this video, we explain the steps to replace the belt on a Toro single stage snowblower.

  • This was great. And BTW, there is so many versions of this same singke stage thrower marketed under different brands. Mine is a John Deere, but it is the same Thrower with some cosmetic changes. I have also seen it marketed as MTD, but there are still many other variations. Asd to the statement "the belt is cheap", I will have to disagree. I paid over $35 for my belt and I spent some serious time shopping for it. But I guess comopared to me paying a shop to fix it, then it may be cheapER!!

  • @ThePauperPrepper Great comment. Thanks for the input and thanks for watching!

  • How do you replace the housing that is behind the belt ? Mine has a hole in the bottom .Mine fills up with snow, and freezes then blades won't work, and it burns up the belts. Thanks.

  • @rwwood48 That's a good idea for another repair video. We'll have to get to replacing that housing in the shop for all to see sometime soon.

  • Very nice and helpful. I have the Toro CCR 2000 and am replacing the drive belt and paddle blades today. It's been a great machine for 18 yrs. I guess I should replace the spark plug too, since it's the original one. lol

    Thanks again.

  • @Moondog9322 Any time!
