Little girl's face-off with lion

Three-year-old Sofia Walker didn't even flinch as the male beast struck the glass with his paws repeatedly.

Captured on camera by her parents, the youngster seemed to be completely unfazed by Malik's actions.

She bravely stood her ground as the grumpy lion showed her what he thought of her interrupting his breakfast at Wellington Zoo in New Zealand.

Sofia was innocently stroking the window between them, when the big cat sprung into action last week.

Amazing footage shows the pair looking directly into each other eyes.

Seconds later, the seven-year-old animal flares his nostril in rage before he strikes the glass — but Sofia is surprised.

Her Mom Sharon called her away from the 33mm thick glass that separated her from the enclosure.

But instead of moving away, Sofia asks: "What's he telling me?"

Sharon responded: "I think he's telling you to move away, Sofia. He wants to eat his food."

Moments later, the pair had another staring contest before Malik pounded the glass.

Sofia has become an internet sensation after her brave "stand-off" with the big cat went viral.
