The Sims 3 Egyptian Adventure

This is my first video with the new expansion pack "World Adventures"

Yeah i know the video is a little rough but i did enjoy making it and it was a great way of exploring the country.

I' am yet to visit France and China so more videos are to come :D

@AlansVlogs Well great .. so i assume you know that Sharm el Sheikh is a tourist village not a normal populated city .. so it's small and the safari trips are PART of the activities Sharm el Sheikh offers .. but other cities in Egypt , Cairo for example .. is totally not a desert .. and as i see in this video they meant Cairo .. and the pyramid area totally don't look in anyway like this deserted place .. there are hotels , bars and malls all over the place .. it's my city for god's sake.. :)

@midospicy I can understand where you're coming from. But I guess they're just modeling Egypt on what many people would expect it to look like. Also, the maps are quite small, they need to squeeze a town and the deserts all on one place. Cairo is a very nice place, shops, malls, just like any other city in the world. Just these guys are trying to model something that people will expect to see.

@midospicy You're right, who said It was a Desert? It might be one, but it does have them. I went to Sharm el Sheikh last lear and drove sand buggies on the Sinai Desert.

i was just in egypt for 3 weeks pyramids and everything and it seriously does not look like that! it looks like there is just desert in this video when the pyramids are actually in cairo- a city of about 8 million! sims 3 interpretation of what egypt looks like isnt correct at all! the historical landmarks arent even placed right!

@AlansVlogs yeah, they had to sell the game. people prefer the wild, fantastical, exotic places, not the actual places. :)

@midospicy If you've ever played the game, you would never think that Sims do literally represent humans nor that the city "Sunset Valley" they live in represents a real American town, although there are certainly insinuations. The game doesnt' take itself seriously- its more satire about real life clichés while not pretending to be authentic. Or do you believe that zombies and vampires exist for real?

I'm from Egypt Cairo,and I can say: this is SO not how Cairo is like,it's more like New York actually...THE eastern warm way,BUT I do understand that perhaps since it's called "Adventures" they meant for it to show the exciting sides of Egypt,so they decided to model ANCIENT Egypt,because most tourists come to Egypt seeking tours around the pyramids,sphinx and temples...Not the streets and the malls as they already have that,So,I guess I understand why they modeled only that old part of Egypt
