Easy Cap setup Tutorial: Capturing Colour

*NOTE: This is for Australian TV settings, other countries may differ.

People have requested that I show them how to capture in colour as its in black and white. Heres a video explaining how its done.

The software I used to record is AMCap you can download it here:

  • when i record with amcap, it takes alot of space, i recorded a short video, it took me 1 GB, another video is 11.56 GB, i cannot upload it to youtube like that!!!

    Have you changed the compression settings as instructed in this video? It sounds like you left it on none or possible AVI, most editing programs would also resize that video if needed.

  • will all of this stuff work on a laptop coz ive got everyhting else set up except for the s-video cable my latop doesnt have a port for thats cable does it mean i need a pc? PLEASE RESPOND ASAP

    Please view the video linked in the bottom right hand corner via annotations. You do not need a S-video connection to complete this set-up, a laptop is simple a portable computer and there is no difference, and will work just fine.

  • is that AMcap for free?

  • didn't worked 4 me but i think i did something wrong.

    i get color and everthing but when im done the screen stuck

    it just shows 1 screen

  • @GuyBlue78 well... if you go to Moviemaker/Vegas you need to Render the video

  • @GuyBlue78 just render the raw file in camtasia studio

  • @GuyBlue78 : That is normal. I make 3 minute videos and it is 1gb in filesize. I edit using Camtasia and render that file. It changes from 1gb to 15mb. After I upload, i delete.
