Mirror's Edge Demo Gameplay X360 - Fun Stuff (5/5)

Hey guys. My fifth video. I found a new disarm. I haven't mastered it yet, so i have tried like 4 or 5 times in the video and that disarm almost got me killed =P

The timing is very difficult without reaction time. The reason i wanna do it and show it without reaction time is because that feature is not always available and you can't always rely on it. So it's better to do it normally and get used to it that way. But as you guys can see, it's not the easiest disarm there is, since you don't even really see the gun flash red. Sometimes for a very moment (not seen in the video), but you can't react to it. You have to just know when to pull it off..

The reason i didn't cut the other pieces out is that i wanted to show it's not something you do just like that. If you just wanna look at the disarm, look at the last 20 seconds of the video.


The disarm is:
- slide to the cop (only those who push you away directly)
- when he tries to hit you, you press Y (on the X360, for the PS3 it would be triangle i think..

Remember you can't look for it, you just need to press it at the right time. Trying few times with reaction time should help since it will give you time to react to the red gun. You'll know the timing better. Try it without afterwards.

I was attempting to do some "fun stuff" in the demo and decided to see if anyone else found anything and this vid was great! Helped me develop a tactic and realize you can defeat them. If you want an easy disarm, just slide and then kick an enemy that doesn't immediately see you coming and get around behind him and do a disarm. Not sure if frontal disarms will work when they're stunned but I did one from behind first try. Still haven't done your disarm yet but I'm working on it. =)

Try reading the description.. It flashes red so fast you can't even always see it. Si you'll just have to press it at the right time.

easier way to do a disarm on a SWAT guy: kick him in the nuts then WAIL on him with fists and feet flying! works for me ^_^

Ah, yeah, I noticed it after I left my obnoxiously-long comment! Recently I've been trying to activate the SWAT and jump back a building and disarm "Blues" and fight off the SWAT with firearms. =P
