How can you NOT like River?!

I really liked river at the beginning with the library, and some episodes after. Now i find that she's a bit of a Mary sue, and I also don't like being told to like someone/thing. Over all I'm not impressed with the plot line and character development done with river so far.

Hahahaha so you dont like being told to like someone? Well arent you being told to like the doctor, amy, rory, AND river? And even mark sheppard in this case. Reasoning fail.

I think we're all a little bit jealous of River too, we just don't want to admit it. It'll be interesting when the tables are turned and River's the one who doesn't know anything.

I don't understand the band of River hatred, but there is so much appreciation and enthusiasm for boring Rory and Amy. I know we all like what we like, however if the River Song character was completely ripped out of Doctor Who, the past two seasons would be so very dreadful.
