This video is part 1 of 2 parts.

This video will show you how to multiboot Windows XP (Home Edition) Service Pack 2, with Windows Vista (Home Basic) no Service Pack, with Vista preinstalled (already on your computer).

If you follow videos nine and ten, you do not require third party software.

Assumptions:

This / these videos assume that:

- you only have one hard drive installed,
- there is 35GB hard disk space,
- you are multibooting Windows XP (Home Edition), with Windows Vista (Home Basic),
- Windows Vista is preinstalled,
- CDs are prioritised over hard drives,
- You have backed up your important data.

Things you may need to know to help you install the software efficiently:

- there is 1024MB in 1GB
- you will need both OEM CDs (if youre following videos nine and ten). This is a shiny disc, and should say either distribute only with a new PC, or OEM builders version.
- you will need all of your driver discs (from the appropriate companies),
- you will need your activation codes,
- partitioning means to split your disk in two halves.
- formatting makes data writable.
