25 years old and it hasn't dated one bit, classic comedy

@RelativeBadger Seen as you say it as 'fact' I'll direct you to Victoria Woods interview on the South Bank Show where she will differ with that view.
As for suggesting the scenery/prompts/forgotten lines. That happened in all the soaps/serials back then. It may have happened a little more often in Crossroads but only because they made the most hours of drama in a week. Funny the 'endings' thing, cos the IBA used to say they were 'too sensational' LOL so can't be both.

This was based solely on 'Crossroads' and if you search for Crossroads on here, you will see why it is EXACTLY like it: actors not ready for prompts, forgotten lines, cardboard scenery and endings which just popped out of nowhere

BLOODY BRILLIANT

Is that Bev Unwin from Corrie doing the intro? Funny how many of these people parodying soaps went on to be in them.

that bit is hilarious, love it so much

Thanks for this. I love the way the same couple appears at the start admiring the antiques.
Brilliance, which is sadly lacking from tv today
