Documentation of the recent Rockville Centre Diocese slapdown of a pastor who temporarily banned Communion in the Hand in an effort to stop a stream of abuse and desecration in his parish.

I hope that someone reported him to the diocese for such an abuse. A priest that does that OBVIOUSLY does not believe that it is the TRUE body of Jesus because if he did the would have the utmost respect for the blessed host and would have consumed it. It doesn't surprise me this happened because satan is on the prowl and many priests are not true believers anymore. They just go through the motions of the mass (as do many parishioners). Please pray for our priests as they are under attack .

That 'nun' has no authority whatsoever over how 'Fr. Fidelis' or any priest celebrates Mass. Such instructions can only come from the Bishop. Furthermore, let us remember that no one has a right to (a) receive communion in a sacrilegious manner and (b) the priest is the steward of the Sacraments and he has every right to make sure no such desecrations take place. I strongly suspect appealing this case to Rome would receive a favourable hearing...

When Pope Paul VI stated: "the smoke of satan has entered the church" he wasn't kidding. The only problem is we haven't had a Bishop in RVC since Bishop Kellenberg smart enough to open the window and let him out!! The abuses in this Diocese are straight from the pit of HELL!

The communion in the hand deniers are anxious to return to the church of the 1950s when the sclerotic practices of Trent prevailed. If the pastor had any sense he would have reminded the people that the host is to be consumed immediately. If children were unable to handle that, adults were certainly still in the right to expect communion in the hand. I suspect that the issue here is not the real presence in need of a defender, but the theological conservatism of the pastor.

"'Liturgical creativity' expert?" You made that up. I doubt if even many of the silly people who hide in the Church's diocesan bureaucracy would make up such an idiotic title. I have no doubt she said what she said, so maybe the title isn't so absurd.

Still, comparing the Church to an evil Empire is almost as bad as desecrating the Eucharist. The bishops are still the heirs of Christ's apostles. Always remember this.

@FishEaster The Novus Ordo is a valid sacrafice of the Holy Mass, to reject it is to reject Holy Mother Church and her teachings. I myself prefer the UA but accept the Magisterium of the Church. The sspx is schismatic and rejects the See of Peter a Throne which cannot be vacant.
