The song was written in 1955 by Cindy Walker a country artist. Eddy Arnold was the first to record it. It was many years later that Ray Charles recorded it.

I've only heard a couple of his songs...we here in USA don't have X-Factor broadcast...but he sounds good in a video called "When You Believe." Plus this is a video from a camera so the quality isn't professional but still worth watching.

I think that at this performance is nothing to criticize on his voice quialities...i will said total the opposite...!!...despite the poor Audio recording quality though...
His voice power come so hard and clean thru the mic, that the mic can´t handle it.. ;-) . Very Nice

I agree, and rhydian was the favourite to win so why the hell would they fix it for leon? He won coz he deserved it and just listen to him!!
