The black dog is my mothers German Shepherd mix. Her name is Jade and she is 7 years old. The Brown dog is my dog Brownie. He is a Labrador mix and he is 14 years old. They are both intact and have never mated. For people who see the discolored patch of fur on Jades side, she was bitten by a spider and the fur grew back but she had a severe allergic reaction and the fur is discolored. Also she is graying on her back and tail. She doesn't usually do well with other dogs but Brownie is a good dog and she seemed to be more playful than aggressive. As I said, they are both intact but Brownie is trained not to hump her and she is submissive so she doesn't hump him either. If he does think about humping, a sharp NO keeps him from humping. They are both intact but let me assure you, they have NEVER mated! Brownie mounts JUST a little but he is trained not to hump and he dismounts on command. Jade is not in heat here and when mating season comes around, they aren't allowed to frolic much. Hope you enjoyed! I was happy to see her so calm!

  • For anyone who says "FIX YOUR PET". The argument that it prevents certain diseases is invalid because disease can happen in other parts not removed. Also humans don't slice off their balls to prevent cancer. My boy seemed to do MUCH better intact than any of the neutered dogs I've owned/seen and I will not even THINK of having my next dog neutered either. Brownie is trained not to hump and is supervised. I do NOT support breeding of ANY type! Rest assured, no breeding here....

  • Wow your dog is pretty playful for 14 years old. Glad to see you socialize him, it really makes them much better dogs.

  • @MisterPeetBull Yes, he loves most dogs and he began his socializing at a young age. He's very playful and though sometimes it's annoying I'm just happy he still has so much left. He's a really old dog now.

  • @mjfromga89 Well he looks like he has a really good life. I love mutts, my pit was the first non-mutt I've had, but he still came from a shelter. I'm not even sure if he is pure bred, some people say he looks like a American Stafford shire Terrier, some say Red Nose Pit Bull, I could care less though- he is just my dog.
