Frank Langella is terrible on this movie. And the pianists have been horrified by his totally mistaken fake playing... Adrian Lyne is on my top 5 worst director of all times. With Joel Schumacher and Baz Luhrmann.

@MadameApathy Yes, but you know pedos. They always try to make the victims the cause of it all. I know of a perv that has jumped from young women to young women. Recently he left the ex-wife for the step daughter. These sickos are never happy. As soon as the young women get a little too old, it is time to move on to a younger one.

From being twelve years old, the girl was isolated, shoved into a sexual relationship, threatened with foster care, thrown around America for years, physically assaulted at least twice, quite likely more, lied to, mistreated and outright raped in the book at least once. Lolita was twelve; Humbert was a grown man who knew better. She was robbed of her childhood. She didn't deserve that. She was not let off easily at all.
