  • @1957Rotu true and this situation will be a big irony that the economic downturn, failure of the Euro will hit the EU back in the face, I know Irelands in a bad state and I understand why many of them voted Yes because they had no other option to help the economy, but my message to any Irish would as it would be to any european beware of the EU as political entity it does inded bare all the makings of an authoritarian machine.

  • @BiffaTW Ireland is not exactly a tasty destination for immigrants at this particular poiint in time. Almost 90% of the "second wave" of EU immigrants have returned to their native countries.

  • @1957Rotu hhaha its accelerated since the Eu neve mind lisbon. Blind fool you are.

  • The whole point about betting is that it is predicated on the word 'if'. That is why Paddy Power are offering 1/25 on a 'Yes' outcome. (If it were 100% certain, then millons of euro would pour onto the 1/25 odds on offer). However, as one of the Paddy Power marketmakers explained on Sky TV yesterday, "we think the chances of a 'Yes' outcome are about 92% compared to an 8% chance of a 'No' outcome."

I'm not certain of the outcome. But I would not invest any money in the 'No' option at 8/1.

  • I am happy to wait the outcome of today's referendum A clear picture will not begin to emerge until Saturday afternoon. However, I promise not to post an "I told you so" message on this thread if we do vote "Yes" (contrary to the views of all of your acquaintances). If you're so certain of a 'No' outcome, check with Paddy Power whether they will still give you odds of 8/1 on a 'No' victory.

  • Odds of a No vote offered by William Hill: 10/1 against. Exceptionally long odds. I think yes will triumph this time around. Just a personal opinion, you understand. Just in case an alien from outer space is watching this video and thinks that everyone in Ireland is opposed to the EU Treaty.

As regards the borders situation, I thought the immigrants had already arrived, long before Lisbon.
