I don't have any dpns, would it work if i used a circular needle and pushed it back to the same end each time? I'll try it...

OK but when I do this the thing ends up flat... how do you get it to cord? what string do you pull on to get it cord up?

watch the video again. you have to bring the yarn from the back to the beginning every time.

I'm not a knitter at all. I just crochet. I know that it is possible to crochet an I cord. However, this looks so simple, that I think that a non-knitter like me could do this. Thanks for the information.

yes, it's quite simple. I'm the opposite of you. the only thing I can crochet is a chain to use for a drawstring or handle. thanks for your note.
