This video covers two important subjects; 1) Why I think Viable company (a deaf owned Video Relay Service provider company) had certain disadvantages. 2) My response to Ryan Comerson's earlier vlog called "VRS Our Economic Power?". So, what really happened to Viable and where is our economic power? This is a must watch video for deaf people, deaf entrepreneurs, business people, investors, including those who are learning about business or wanting to start a new business. The video is subtitled for all to enjoy.

I wonder if he consulted an attorney who specializes in Governmentese? I just can not accept the fact that his lack of English grammar prevented him from getting help from the legal section. I think the bigger point is Economic Power of Deaf persons, what can we do to market our skills and abilities to where the money is (hearing people)? Most deaf work with other deaf - not with large Corporations - We need to think out of the box and show that Deaf Persons "CAN DO".

@itztba No. I don't assume anything. I'd talk about the possibilities and that's not the same thing as assuming. I never said anything about dirty tactics by Sorenson, specifically. Unlike you, I was not interested in identifying any specific VRS for their dirty tactics. The reason is simple. I am not involved with any VRS industries so I do not have any direct proof. Blaming the linguistics of deaf people is only a small part of the problem but yet it seem to be your ultimate focus. Sad.

@theHolism Let's assume that is 100% true. Are you going to reach around and make the assumption that Sorenson pulled their dirty tactics purely by phone conversations?
There's a couple more things that show that FCC was fully aware of what Sorenson was doing, classic fleecing of America, and did nothing about it. You, as a friend of John Yeh, should be outraged instead of blaming the linguistics of the Deaf.

@itztba Exactly what did you thought I had implied in my previous vlogs? The activities that Homeland Security and Echelon are involved with has nothing to do with domestic crimes. They only focus on terrorism-based matters. That's largely due to existing laws, which do not allow any government to wire-tape of any kind of telephone conversations unless they had prior warranty status from the judge. One can not retrieve older phone conversation like one can with hard drives.

@theHolism I don't mind if you think that. I guess I am just confused with what you implied in your previous vlogs and this one.
BTW - Ever heard of two things, Echelon, and Homeland Security? These two agencies are responsible for recording every single phone call that has been made. Think about that a bit, willcha? :)

Hello,
Let me introduce myself that I am a Middle Eastern Deaf man and am living in Washington DC. I would like to ask you two questions about your video production for my researches. One is your signing is so natural. Did you practice before making video production? If yes. Then how long did it take your time before shooting on you? Another is about your subtitles. To me you followed your subtitles during your video production. Your replies will help me. I am looking forward to hear from you.

@ASLSpectrum - Do I practice before making videos? No I don't practice on any of my videos. I don't know about others but I'm a better speaker when I share my thoughts right off the bat, spur at the moment. I've never been good at planned speech. I also learned to communicate my points quickly from 30 years of business experience. On subtitles, I sign first in my video and then I caption them afterwards. Hope this helps.
