Renown drummer and Carlos Santana's wife, Cindy Blackman Santana talks about her current project as well as the gear she uses from Gretsch Drums, DW, Vic Firth, Remo, & other brands. Cindy got her start in a musical family and went on to pursue music wholeheartedly, namely her fascination with jazz. In just a few short years, she went from busking on street corners in New York City to playing in arenas with Lenny Kravitz' band in front of 70,000 screaming fans. Cindy's current projects include her electric band, Another Lifetime, and her acoustic band, Explorations. @djladydrummer Are you such a fool? Where was Carlos? Where was the interviewer? THIS IS A F-CKING ADVERTISEMENT. WTF is your problem. Guitar Center helps great musicians like this couple sell their souls out. If you are married to Santana then you don't need money or free equipment. This sucks. Again, not an interview, not a performance, just a sales pitch.

This isn't an interview. This is a GUITAR CENTER ADVERTISEMENT. I love Cindy but this is not why I clicked on this video. Pisses me off. And I just saw a Dennis Chambers ad to the side here. I'm not happy about that either. Not what youtube was intended for. Guitar Center, the most corrupt monopoly in the business. I know. I worked for them.

I remember when she used to play for Lenny Kravitz, giving his videos a '70s look with all of that big hair while rocking that kit.

Carlos Santana doesn't mess around... she's a pretty woman
That bass drum with the Lioness face & the Mayan calendar behind it, looks very cool. They're integrated because the calendar represents Santana & the Lioness represents his wife, Cindy. Interestingly, the aesthetic impression of the image appears as though they go together naturally. Its reminiscent of the Lion's faces from Abraxas
