@wafflecakepans that's exactly what we're supposed to think... but remember the prophecy was about their "first born child". It wasn't born yet so I guess the prophecy wasn't really averted

@fanofbellaedward I would have thought that that prophecy would have been averted when Kahlan was beaten near to death while she was pregnant (this was in Anderith).

looks like a creepy teen boy. i would have loved if Jaganh impregnated Kahlan with his child, so that Terry Goodkind could explore into the fact that heritage is bullshit....ah well, goodkind has bullshit beliefs anyway

Interestingly, this is described as a "Richard and Kahlan" novel, not a "Sword of Truth" one. Does this mean that there is no longer a need for a Seeker of Truth post-"Confessor", and that Richard has "retired" like Cincinnatus, but now finds that he has to face a daunting challenge on a more personal level?

Being a Richard and Kahlan book I would think it has to tie in to the Sword of Truth series in some way, but as long as it has Richard and Kahlan, it will be Great! They are wonderful characters! Both have such conviction and integrity. Their Love is one of the most Epic stories ever written, and I can't wait for their journey to continue! Hopefully they will have some happy moments in this one, and be together! Really looking forward to this book, have read all others in the series a few times!
