One question: Can you use your Straight Talk phone anywhere? Going to college, going to work, going into the city? There won't be a point where I don't have service?
For example, if I need directions or get lost, can I use a GPS or something?
@darylb468 Re: the tech support issues, yes, these are well documented on any review site on the Internet (so is the incredible signal strength) but they now offer some support from their Facebook page, which I've heard is much more responsive than trying the old farm.
@BrainiacJr Yeah I've heard some HORROR stories about their tech support firm in India or wherever. Hoping my e71 doesn't go down any time soon because I love the functionality and the signal strength I'm only getting for 45, so I'm hoping I don't end up getting angry at them for some other reason!
I do like Straight Talk but find their support lacking. However, I discovered their Facebook fan page and also found great support from agents there. Really. And no phone calls needed, . Makes a good thing even better!
@TheSuperConducter the reason you get a better signal is that Straight Talk uses both Verizon and ATT towers. SO, you're combining the powers of the two largest networks in the country! Far superior to only having a contract with one of them!
I have so many contract phones in my day. I have been through almost all of the service providers out there and was never, ever satisfied with my plans and service. With straight talk, i can talk as much as i want for a small price and I have reliable service that i can count on.
I chose Straight Talk for my son and myself, where else can you get the best network service with the best package that delivers what it says without hidden costs and contracts. You also recieve free 411 calls and have the flexibility to move to a cheaper option depending on your budget and usage every month.
Straight Talk really do provide the best mobile deal in the country- getting unlimited everything for $45 is unbeatable, plus, with the awesome coverage that ST provide it really is amazing...

I don't know how contract providers actually live with themselves charging what they do!!
