You'll either understand the absurdity of this sketch or you'll miss the joke entirely. Another jab at minimalist and conceptual art by yours truly. No art was created in the production of this video ;)

  • We need more sarcasm like this to shame the critics into driving the charlatans out of the 'respectable' galleries. The 'work' displayed was not a work at all.

  • @hermitcrabbot - people read into an artwork what they want to read into it but critics need to know what the artist was intending to communicate in order to critique properly... otherwise they're just overlaying their own interpretation on the art. Having said that, some artists don't like explaining their art... which is equally frustrating for people in their understanding of why something should be considered art.

  • I think it'd have more 'art cred' if you called it Tabula Rosa IV

    So deep...

  • @drugchicken LOL - I prefer to appeal to the masses rather than the intellectuals though ;-) Thanks for the comment. I haven't watched this one back in such a long time!

  • Nice one Batman!! Cheers from Liverpool,England!

  • I don't know if zezt missed the joke but he clearly understands the point and I do agree with his last statement much of the time :)

  • That's my point exactly. It's just a blank canvas. Yet these types of artworks keep appearing in 'respected' galleries with some new spin about what they mean.

  • zezt obviously 'missed the joke entirely!' I usually 'miss the joke' but I had to play this twice to concentrate on it, and I understood the concept of it being blank to avoid the 'clutter in the world!' Quite funny! LOL
