I can agree with a lot of what you said, Sarge, except that I think how the rest of the world views us IS important. Unfortunately, ever since July 16th, 1945, we've forced ourselves to have some amount of tact. If we don't display some amount of class, a well-placed volley of nuclear weapons could make all those troops, wives, actors, politicians, 'liberal' scholars, and everything else on your list go away for good. There's not a whole lot the gung ho mentality would be able to do about it.

Your understanding of the first article is way off. Im an athiest and I am offended by the way christians are treated. They are allowed to speak freely of and about their religion. The only thing the constitution protects us from is any specific church becomming one with the state. Go have a look at the ACLU and mandated Islam in NC state. That was unconstitutional.
