dolphins do kill for fun and rape and do horrible things, but so do humans. its pointless to "defend" them when we do all the same things, yet most of us do like other humans. anyway, this movie did a great job with the source material IMHO, now to see if its on netflix...

No, he meant "for the joy of it" as in "haha this is fun" and not eating the food.
It isn't instinctual to have fun. Dolphins are some of the few animals with more autonomy than instincts.
