@flameretardant from the second they realised there was no ladder, i myself was thinking that at least they have a knife. weird that not 1 of them decided to use it as a "ice pick" in the side of the boat. i sure would of.

If this is true, then it proves Darwin's theory of evolution. They didn't anchor, weren't smart enough to throw over a ladder much less a line prior to jumping overboard. Looks a lot like nature telling us that those that are too stupid to think ahead need to be de-selected.

They try that in the movie a little later, but when the 2nd person got on top of the 1st, it just put the 1st guy under water. True story, and they all die except for one. I dont want to give the end away.

Its a true story, if you know about any boats or ships, this particular gunnel was unreachable. That's why they have the boarding steps that operate on hydraulics,the girl with the baby was pushed in. Now with that being said, the price of that vessel is astronomical, all they needed to do is install a button button switch near the water line for events like this. These people died ,How much more would have cost to to install an emergency switch ?
