Nothing is advanced. What differentiates a skilled person and an unskilled person is how adept they are at the so-called basics, not whether or not they know TEH REAL NINJA moves. Additionally, in English the term quarter-staff usually refers to length of staff rather than the manner in which it is held. Good drills, keep at it and keep the tradition alive.

This has got to be the most inept staff display of all time. Firstly you are demonstrating half-staff not quarterstaff, secondly the movements are slow, mechanical and plodding and would be totally ineffective against any of the staff systems I have seen. Advanced my foot, you guys need a reality check.
