  • An informative segment.

And my goodness this woman is beautiful.

  • Bush looks like he's been drinking again. His face is hot and eyes very red. Not a good sign.

  • does no one realize that the only alternatives to capitalism are socialism and communism

  • America needs more socialism and I hope Obama gives it to them, then maybe they will realise how wrong they have been about so much

Social Democracy is the way forward

  • That's because the Media in the U.S.A. is corrupt and manipulates the minds of the American people

Because of it many Americans don't know the true meaning of Socialism

Many think it is equated to Communism

All they get is the vibes from the media which

    suggests that socialism is evil

Thank God for Aljazeera and BBC News..

I hate the Media here in the States.. it is too controlled and Opinionated.

  • democracy= socialism

    U.S.A.=12 H.D.I.

even if Obama tries his best

    the H.D.I. will go down

  • How interesting. Many say that democracy is actually the path to Socialism. In fact, most democracies and republics have been constantly socializing over the past century, including the US.

  • how do u suppose free market concepts come about?

obviously you havent done your research. by the way listen before you speak thru your arse.

  • If you actually listen to the start of this piece, the economist says: I heard two pieces in Bush's speech, the first addressing the causes of the financial crisis and the other the broader nature of free trade. I think the presenter's questions on the IMF and World Bank and distorting US farm subsidies are not bias but highly relevant and salient aspects of the broader debate over free trade. I think your accusations of bias were a little shallow, perhaps listen to what the guest says?

  • i don't think only capitalism helps the country.

America needs some socialism in their economic system, because capitalism is becoming more useless in this hard times.

  • I used to like AlJazeera but 2 questions asked showed its true colors, the IMF World Bank question, and the free market farm subsidies question. Like the economist well said, these things had nothing to do with the economic crisis, and AlJazeera was trying to lead the discussion in a different direction. Their bias was clearly shown. Fortunately other shows like Riz Khan are better, but I am severely disappointed of the channel. Because of their bias, they are no better than the american MSM.

  • Hmm, that's interesting. Thank you for the info.
