The liberals love to tell us that schools are places of openness and diversity, and that they are where children should learn about sex because stupid parents can't teach them properly. But back in 1996 a fourth-grade student found out what happens when you open one See, I told You So open to Chapter called Condoms: the New Diploma in school the confiscation of the book in a style that could only make the great book burners of the past misty-eyed.

They embarrassed this kid. When the father went to the school to ask for the book, he was told, "Nein!" (At least, that's what it amounted to.) These are the same people who are open and tolerant and think that bigotry sits only on the other side of the political spectrum. They would surely think twice before taking away a book from a liberal perspective, such as "Heather Has Two Mommies." But conservatism? That has no place in schools.

  • Stupid liberal teachers......

  • while I find the evidence you are ignoring, let's discuss why there should be government education AT ALL. Government education is an evil system that steals from the responsible and productive, steals our children away from us, and indoctrinates them with atheistic, anti-capitalistic, and sexually promiscuous "values". Government education dumbs down our children and turns them into deviants.

  • They took the book away because it was a fourth grader reading about condoms! Any parent knows that at that age they have no filter as to what comes out of their mouth at that age. How did we see a difference of opinion problem rise from this?

  • The teahcer took the book away because it was written by imbaugh, not because of its so called "sexual xontent" aka political debate over contraconceptives.

  • Also, a lot of teachers require a student to bring a book to read during study time in case they completely finish with their assignments before that time is over. So it's not like he was reading when he was supposed to be doing homework, he was probably done.

  • It's ridiculous that the teacher took that book away. I've read the chapter from the book and there is nothing in there that is not appropriate for a 4th grader to know. It's better our kids learn the truth about sex and abstinance before the liberals go and hand them a condom and say "here you go kids have fun". one out of every five condoms fails and teaching kids that there are no consequences to supposedly protected sex is wrong.

  • I'd like to see the evidence you found that you said I am ignoring. Can you please give me the book names, website, etc where you got this information that schools teach sex and homosexuality to kindergardeners? You're making that claim. Burden of proof is on you. Then, we can discuss government education.

  • First of all, that's a terrible argument. We're talking about one particular incident of this 4 grader, not about liberals and what you think of them or how you think they are hypocrites. You don't even know if the teacher or principal was a liberal or conservative. Plus, you are wrong. NO ONE teaches sexual promiscuity and homosexuality to kindergardeners. I've heard that from conservatives during the election. It's a GROSS misrepresentation of the truth.

  • this from the "liberals" who insist on stealing our children away from us and teaching sexual promiscuity and homosexuality to kindergardeners.

  • The teacher had every right to take the book away. What the boy was reading (chapter on condoms) was INAPPROPRIATE material for a 4th grade classroom. Doesn't matter if it was private study time. Plus, the teacher had an obligation to take away the book since the teacher could've gotten into trouble for knowing what the boy was reading and doing nothing about it. Your argument consists of nothing more than ad hominem attacks.

  • Ah, but there is a time and place for everything. Reading about condoms could be done on free time. If you are implying I am a liberal, you would be wrong. I am a man of logic and spirit. Conservatism and liberalism go against both. Also, I don't understand how "freedom of speech" has to do with reading. Maybe you meant freedom to read?
