Last week Mexico arrested another top drug ring leader. He's responsible for many crimes, including murder and bombing a U.S. consulate. Here's more on the story.
STORY:
Soldiers captured on Friday drug trafficker, Sigifredo Najera Talamantes in the northern city of Saltillo near Texas.

Hes accused of attacking a U.S. consulate, a TV broadcaster and killing nine soldiers in the city of Monterey, a prosperous city close to the U.S. border.

[Felipe Calderon, Mexican President]:
"He is directly responsible for the torture and killing of the soldiers, and is the one responsible for the attacks on the U.S. consulate and Televisa (TV broadcaster) in Monterrey."

But these are not his only crimes.

[Luis Arturo Oliver, Army General]:
"The drug trafficker Sigifredo Najera Talamantes has been identified as responsible for drug trafficking, trafficking of people, stealing fuel from PEMEX ducts, pirating, homicide, kidnapping and extortion that took place in Nuevo Leon state by the Cardenas Guillen criminal organization."

This is Mexicos second war-on-drugs victory as the son of top drug ring-leader, Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada, was also arrested last week.

  • demand and consume of Crack-cocaine in USA is unstoppable!!!!!

  • well put my friend, well put

  • and also, people are going to use drugs whether they are legal or not and peeps who dont use will cont not to use even if usage goes up, violence and useless arrests would stop wasting tax payer money i would rather worry about people using drugs than the violence we have because they are illegal

  • Cocaine does have more street value but that doesn't mean its more popular in fact the traffic of coca has decreased significantly since Escobar and over 50% of Americans smoke weed now I can tell you 50% of americans donot use coke plus heroin has double the street value of coke and since we have been in Afghanistan(world leader in exporting Poppy plants) and also since then the usage and flow of heroin to states has more than tripled numbers says weed and heroin on top now

  • The truth is young kids have better access today to drugs because they are an unregulated market.

There is such a thing as responsible drug use, why do you think they sell prescriptions and Robotussin.

  • for good? legalizing drugs so the kids on the street think: yeah nothing special *nomnomnom*

    ...another kid died form drugs...

your stupid. fag. drugs are not good for people, in NO way.

  • you seriously need to do more research on drugs my friend

  • No one supports the use of these drugs, non medicinally, but an American has endowed within him or her Liberty.

Liberty allows for a mature adult to make any choice he or she desires regarding their personal life. The government has no grounds in prohibiting peaceful actions.

The truth though is that if these drugs were made legal, but a huge emphasis on prevention and education could be maintained you would see a decrease in use and abuse, as every other county that has legalized them has.

  • most of the business is not marijuana its cocaine, cocaine has way more street value then marijuana plus its the most popular. also four years older is not experience my friend

  • im not talking about weed im talking about coca and heroine
